Founded in 2017, Freedom Equipment Rentals was born out of a desire to give our community the freedom to choose a locally owned and operated rental company, at a time when many independent businesses were being absorbed by large corporations. Freedom Equipment Rentals is conveniently located near the areas of Tri-Cities, Yakima, Walla Walla, Moses Lake and Hermiston.
Our goal at Freedom is to be the equipment specialists, solving customer's problems & helping them manage their rental fleet to keep them on schedule and budget (minimize costs). Be the company they know they can call to locate that hard-to-find piece of equipment whether we have it or not we are knowledgeable and can steer them in the right direction. One of Mindy's favorite quotes is, "A person can't begin to learn what they think they already know”.
Mindy keeps this Freedom train moving forward, whether it is Accounts Payable, Receivable, or Operations, she is always busy! We want to make it easy to do business with Freedom and Mindy always takes that motto seriously, even if that means reaching out to customers about applying payments. Taking that extra step saves our customers a headache when it comes time to reconcile job costs.
When Mindy and Layton aren't giving 130% to the team and our customers they are escaping to Sandpoint, Idaho, and planning their perfect retirement!
Tony is a Tri-Cities native who has had a wrench in his hand for as long as he can remember. He learned the ropes working in his father's auto shop as a teenager, eventually leaving to work at IV Highlift. With a lifetime of mechanical experience and over 20 years in the industrial/rental industry, we are thankful to have Tony with Freedom from day one.

Jen oversees the day-to-day rental operations as well as our DOT and Safety programs. She comes equipped with 16 years of rental experience! From dispatching to working with government rental contracts, she has done it all.

Doug is our outside sales rep. With over 20 years of rental sales experience, he knows that the challenge of earning customer service is what molds a company.

Ira is part of our amazing Service Tech Team. Some of his daily tasks include diagnosing, inspecting, and servicing equipment. With 15 years of fabrication experience and several years of working for Freedom Equipment Rentals, he's always looking for the next problem to solve! In his free time, he enjoys physical fitness and adventuring out with his wife.
If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring? My wife, a fishing pole, and water purification.
Nate is one of our CDL delivery drivers along with being a service tech. With over 9 years of heavy equipment hauling experience, he knows his way around the open road. However, if you ask him he'll let you know his most important task of the day is making that first pot of hot coffee in the morning! His favorite quote, " Do not be embarrassed by your failures, learn from them and start again." expresses his desire to continue learning each day.

If you've ever had our equipment delivered, there's a good chance you've seen Jose's friendly face. As our primary delivery driver, his day mainly consists of driving from job site to job site making sure the equipment is there on time. With over 30 years as an equipment delivery driver, he knows the importance of quality service. In his free time, he enjoys watching the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with his family.
James is part of our amazing Service Tech Team. A typical day for James consists of troubleshooting, repainting, and anything else that will make the equipment look as good as the day it rolled off the line! When not at work, he enjoys camping, fishing, and overall enjoying the outdoors.

A fire starter, an axe, and a yacht.
Kim is the friendly face you see if you come into our office. As our admin assistant, her day involves ensuring operations flow fluently. With experience in sales and rentals, she is confident in finding a solution to every problem. After work, Kim enjoys watching movies, shopping, and spending quality family time.
What three things would you bring if you were stuck on an island?
Snacks, lighting, and water.
Jonathan is our small engine technician. With his experience building small engines, there is no problem he can't solve. His day at Freedom involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all small engine equipment. His favorite quote, "Peace is life's most underrated luxury", fits right in with his favorite pastime of working on his minibike, drag bike, or any other project he can dig his hands into.
